Allan Bennett (1872-1923), was an important figure in occult circles. For example, he tutored Crowley in the rites of The Golden Dawn. Subsequently he studied Buddhism and founded the Buddhist Society. As a Buddhist he was known as Bhikku Ananda. Details of his life and magical activities are to be found in The Sword of Wisdom, pp146-48.
