This is the religious shrine in Larnaca, Cyprus, said to be the tomb of the Prophet Mohammed’s stepmother or aunt. 

 

The bright oranges and yellows give the works a particular vividness and brilliance. Colquhoun was adept at finding sexual forms in nature.  Here, with the golden breast-like domes and phallic minaret, she finds them in religious architecture.
